Singer, bassist and songwriter. "Dyke" was a member of The O'Jays' backing band The Blazers until he formed Dyke & The Blazers in 1965.

Died: March 13, 1971 in Phoenix, Arizona - fatally shot on a Phoenix street at the age of 27 by a man named Clarence Daniels. According to reports at the time, the killing may have been related to drug dealing. The shooting was considered self-defense.
