Burns' career in music began in 1978, when he got a job as a doorman at Chapter II nightclub. A few months later, he filled in for a resident DJ and kicked off a 40-year career behind the decks. His list of residencies is an informal history of house music in DC - he held regular posts at Chapter II, the Roxy, the Ritz, Tracks, the Insect Club, State of the Union, Red, Dragonfly, 18th Street Lounge and U Street Music Hall, while working at various record stores like The Hut.
Born in 1957. Died in March 2020, aged 63.
