French singer, composer and producer born in Calais, 7 October 1946. Started off as a Rock drummer in French bands "Les Dauphins", Les Coasters" which became "Les Costers" to avoid confusion with the American group of the same name, and eventually "Les Masters". After the band disbanded in 1968, he started learning piano and guitar and began writing songs. His main hit was "Chimène" in 1969. He got a part in Starmania in 1978.
