The name of LOS RANAS was obtained, when they appeared in a student Kermesse and the announcer without knowing how they were called, decided to "baptize" them with that name that, to Juan Icaza, Galo Haz, "Tony" Flores, Giovanny Játiva and Roberto Ley , group members, they like it, at that moment the group was born that would later become the "champion of the young rhythm" of that time.
