American jazz singer/songwriter, producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist.
Born on August 15, 1951 in Manhattan, New York, U.S.A.
Died on March 14, 2023 in Great Meadows, New Jersey, U.S.A.
Caldwell had a blue-eyed soul voice, played guitar and piano, worked as a songwriter and sat firmly in the saddle in all possible styles. He accompanied Little Richard as a rhythm guitarist, worked with Boz Scaggs, composed film music and released numerous solo albums. With the later much covered "What You Won't Do For Love" he landed a top ten hit in 1978.
