The Bindlestiffs were a Kansas City-based band together from 1990 through the mid '90s. The band influenced the blossoming roots-rock scene of the time prior to the genre being dubbed "alternative country." The Bindlestiffs featured Mike Niewald (guitar, vocals), Cory Corbino (bass), "Wiley" Brian Clark (drums), and Jim Holopter (guitar).
