Swedish guitarist, born November 23, 1977 in Halmstad

He is the younger brother of Michael Amott and co-founded the Swedish death metal band Arch Enemy.

He started playing guitar at the age of 14 and in 1996 he started Arch Enemy together with Michael Amott and Johan Liiva. In 1997 he also created the band Armageddon together with drummer Daniel Erlandsson.

In 2005, Amott left Arch Enemy because he felt he didn't fit in with the band anymore. He then spent two years working as a music teacher. In March 2007, however, he made a comeback in Arch Enemy.
