Deborah Washington

Effective period / Period of releases: 1978 - 1984

Disco singer
She released two albums in 1978 - 1979, at the height of disco mania, produced by George Tobin and Mike Piccirillo. One of her biggest hits was her cover of Holland-Dozier-Holland's "Standing In The Shadow Of Love" originally a hit by Four Tops in 1967. In 1983 she tried to re-boot her career with a double cover of Holland-Dozier-Holland's "Nothing But Heartaches / Nowhere To Run", originally hits by Supremes and Martha Reeves & The Vandellas respectively (both in 1965) but the disco mania had already gone and she failed to impress the audiences.
