Slovenian American singer, radio host, record producer and promoter of cultural events based in Pittsburgh, USA.

She was born on July 1, 1935 to Slovenian immigrant parents in Chisholm, Minnesota and moved to Pittsburgh where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. In 1957, together with partner John I. Gregurich, she formed The Pittsburgh Jr. Tamburitzans with whom she recorded and toured around the world. Violet passed away in her sleep May 30, 2014.
