Ulf Bagge

Real name: Knut Ulf Christer Bagge

Swedish troubadour, songwriter, singer and writer, born March 6, 1949.

He has been a troubadour since the early 1960s, with his own music production.

Among other things, he has composed music for Wivallius, Lucidor, Ferlin and Fröding, made sheet music and guitar arrangements for the Bellman book, with text by Göran Hassler and illustrations by Peter Dahl. He has also made several CD productions and participates with a number of interpretations in Proprius Bellman boxes. Bagge has toured in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the Faroe Islands, Germany and Spain.

Bagge has produced cabaret sets at Berns and Södra Teatern with artists such as Monica Zetterlund, Beppe Wolgers, Svante Thuresson and Olle Adolphson. He also plays in a duo with the songstress Gisela Nordell, has run music scenes such as Visor at Skeppsholmen and Visor at Riddarhuset and was the organizer of the Taubefestivalen in Stockholm. He has also been co-organizer of the anniversary celebration of Carl Michael Bellman 275 years.

Bagge has held concerts at Stockholm Palace and for the royal family and the entire Bernadotte family, as well as touring with politicians such as Gunnar Helén, Reiulf Steen and Maj-Britt Theorin. He was responsible for the cultural arrangement during Olof Palme and Anna Lindh's last joint election tour and then performed together with Monica Zetterlund, Nisse Sandström, Sture Åkerberg, Lasse Bagge and Christer Karlberg and others.

Bagge has written books such as Lucidor, Skalderna i Gamla stan and the memoir Troubadour, möteten minnen. He is also a cicerone of literary and historical city walks in Stockholm.

He has been chairman of the Lucidor and Wivallius societies, and is a board member of Per Anders Fogelström's friends.
