Lives as a conductor and university teacher in Australia.
He studied German literature and music at the university of Melbourne and composition and organ at the Folkwang Academy in Essen, Germany.
Since 1978 he has been director of the Astra Music society in Melbourne.
His interest is a contemporary performance-practice for choir in context of instrumental music, theatre and electroacoustic media.
