Guitarist, vocalist and bassist based in Memphis, Tennessee. Baker played with Gus Cannon, Mississippi Fred MacDowell, Bukka White, and Charlie Rich. His blues-rock band Moloch released an album on the Stax subsidiary Enterprise and played concerts with MC5 and Iggy Pop. He was an in-demand session player as well, perhaps best known for his appearances on Big Star and Alex Chilton albums. Died September 10, 1996.
