One of the most influential and popular French R&B singers at the beginning of the millenium. Coming from a family of Moroccan immigrants, she met the prominent producer/composer Sulee B Wax when she was 18 and started recording hooks and feats for hip-hop/urban artists.
In 2000 she signed her first contract with the record company, Atmosphériques.
Her artist moniker "Wallen" is just an anagram of her name "Nawell".
She is married to rapper/slameur Abd Al Malik.
