Members: Deian Elfryn, Einion Williams, Arfon Wyn, Malcolm Budd, Sion Llwyd, Barry Evans (8), Richard Synnott

Moniars is the group mostly associated with one of the Welsh folk-rock scene’s most prolific singer-sonwriters, Arfon Wyn. The band’s succes is based on Arfon’s constant quest for new talent, his undiminished songwriting, and regular live performances. Moniars has introduced many new talents to the Welsh stage, including Elin Fflur who first burst upon the scene singing Arfon Wyn’s “Harbwr Diogel” with the Moniars.
Their songs are a heady mix of traditional and modern influences, of folk and rock and reggae and skiffle rolled into one joyous musical experience. They copy no-one and everyone, but in the end they are what they are – the Moniars.
