The Royal Hussars (Prince Of Wales's Own) was created on the amalgamation of the 10th Royal Hussars (Prince Of Wales's Own) and the11th Hussars (Prince Albert's Own) on 25th October 1969. It subsequently amalgamated with the 14th/20th King's Hussars to form the King's Royal Hussars in 1992.

Since amalgamation in 1969, The Royal Hussars are an armoured Regiment equipped with tanks. Regimental Motto 'Ich Dien' - 'I Serve'
