The former faces of Milli Vanilli, who were disgraced when it was revealed that they did not sing on any Milli Vanilli release. As 'Rob & Fab', they released a new, unsuccessful album in an attempt to prove to the world that they did indeed possess vocal and writing talent. The album was only released in the US.

Around 1997, Frank Farian contacted Rob & Fab, offering to produce a comeback album under the Milli Vanilli name but featuring their real voices. Farian paid to send Rob through rehab, and got the duo additional professional vocal training. Meanwhile, VH1 previewed the show in the first episode of Behind the Music. It got huge ratings and included a mention of the upcoming album. The album was recorded and the promotional tour was about to begin. Then, in April, 1998, Rob was found dead of a drug overdose in his hotel room. The album's release was cancelled, however Fab claims he had nothing to do with this album and that he has never returned to work with Frank Farian again after the scandal. He thereafter pursued a career as a solo artist.
