Jan Stern

Polish opera singer (tenor) (born 1867 - died March 9, 1949 in Grójec, Poland)

Performed on stage from at least 1892 to not long after 1925, mostly in Warsaw. Made scores of records for The Gramophone Co., Ltd. and others between ca. 1902 and 1912 that were released on Beka, Columbia, Favorite, Homokord, Kalliope, Pathé, Stella, Syrena, Victor, and many other labels.

His name is usually credited as Jan Stern, but sometimes also as Jan Sztern.
