Harold Foster

Real name: Harold Rudolf Foster

Hal Foster (* August 16.1892 Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, † July 25.1982, Spring Hill, Florida) was one the most famous comic authors of the United States, he created the comic book series Prince Valiant*.
He studied at Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, and one of his first jobs was drawing for the series 'Tarzan' (Created based on the book of Edgar Rice Burroughs). After that he soon started creating the first pages of Prince Valiant in 1937 and continued to be part of the comic series until 1979, even after he turned over the drawing work to John Cullen Murphy in 1971. In total he created 1.788 pages for the series.
