Before Gothenburg shut down the harbor, the production and the underground clubs and replaced them with offices, hotels and mortgaged condominiums there was once a saying that the rainy city on the Swedish west coast where looked upon as the goth capital of this country. Whether this idea died with Brandy and Allein or Freddie Wadling, or if this epithet even existed, I leave to the imagination. One thing is certain, Absturz will go down in history tackling that legacy. And it is tackled raw and mercilessly.

With Absturz, you can once again hold your head up high and feel secured, all while the city wanders into an unprecedented darkness. Because here it is, our dark star, the self titled debut album of these upcoming Gothenburg goth heroes. You might think of Siouxsie or X-mal, but here in a modern unrestrained costume. Punchy melodies, playful drums, and beautiful harmonies carried away by a voice that cuts the clouds.
