J.O. Lamadeleine
Real name: Joseph Ovila LaMadeleine

French-Canadian folk music artist born 1880 and died 1973. He was a left-handed fiddler based in Montréal, where he owned a music shop. In the late 1920s, when he was already 50-year-old, he began his recording career for Starr Records. For the next 15 years on Starr, he recorded 54 records of wonderfully played reels, quadrilles, and waltzes. Many of the vocals were by his daughter Jeannette Lamadeleine. (Not to be confused with J.O. Albert LaMadeleine).
