Rock band from Austin, Texas. Deep Sombreros' music blended hip hop, blues, punk and klezmer. The band began playing in 1996 with the Grant brothers and Allyson Lipkin and no percussion. Several drummers later played with the group, though Joel Fried recorded with them for the album on Southern Love.
