Real name: Dawn Michelle Armstrong

New Dawn Rising is a band formed by American born musician/engineer, Dawn Michelle Armstrong, and was founded circa 1993, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The band surfaced while Dawn was studying in Art School, and simmered for a few years, when in 1997, Armstrong being the main producer, song writer and instrumentalist began to take more seriously the desire to document her musical works. Armstrong is the driving force and official member of New Dawn Rising, but has proudly collaborated with talented guests, and musically has traversed many styles and genres. The main elements being - post industrial, electronic, rock and experimental noise.
