Real name: Edward Bennett Marks

American songwriter and music publisher.
Born November 28, 1865 in Troy, New York and died December 17, 1945 in Mineola, New York.
With Joseph Stern, he organized the music publishing concern of Joseph Stern and Co. (1894). They composed the popular song “The Little Lost Child,” which became their first great publishing success. Marks bought out Stern in 1920, and the company became the Edward B. Marks Music Corporation and Edward B. Marks Music Company.
