Initially formed as a project by Gustavo Riviera, founder of Forgotten Boys - a group that has been acting in the independent scene for twenty years, Riviera Gaz started in 2013. With some songs already composed, in 2015 Gustavo joined the musicians Paulo Kishimoto (Forgotten Boys and Pitty) and Steve Shelley, known for being the drummer for Sonic Youth, one of the world's leading alternative rock groups.
The following year, the band that brings 70's rock influences, glam rock and psychedelic folk, recorded the first four-song EP titled “Pere Ubu” and performed in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. In 2018 the band release Hearts Bleed Blue's debut album entitled “Connection” on CD, LP and cassette.
