Russian American cellist, born in 1969. Kotova studied at the Moscow Conservatory and the Musikhochschule in Cologne, giving her first performance as a soloist with orchestra at the age 11 and graduating summa cum laude. She has performed as a soloist with symphony orchestras across the globe, having appeared with the Czech Philharmonic, the Russian National, the Royal Philharmonic and Royal Opera House Orchestras, the Netherlands Philharmonic, the Budapest Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, the Gulbenkian Symphony, Berlin Philharmonic, etc.. In 2011 Kotova received an award for outstanding cultural contribution to Tuscany from the Tuscan-American Association as a co-founder of the Tuscan Sun Festival.
