French composer and conductor, born July 26, 1922 in Paris, France - died February 20, 2015 in Paris, France. He wrote the music for more than 300 songs for artists including Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, Trini Lopez and others, and is also known as film composer working on three Asterix films. He is the son of violinist Robert Krettly. He was married to Yvette Dolvia and is the father of photographer Jean-François Krettly and journalist Yves Calvi.
