Biography
OPTMS
Beatmaker with a deep passion for banging drums, groan synths, and raffish samples. Originally a Drummer and Turntablist since the late 90s, Optms blends his love for the unconventional sound without any genre boundaries.
Born in mid 80s Yugoslavia and growing up in Bremen (Germany), Optms began playing drums at a young age. Making his first attempts on DAW in the late 90s and mind blown by the sounds of scratching, he discovered turntablism.
5 years of bedroom deejaying, making a few mixtapes under different monikers and experiencing first club gigs, it was in 2004, where Optms entered his first DJ-Competition, organized by Pro-Zeiko in Berlin. Later that Year, he took the opportunity to participate at the I.T.F. DJ-Battle.

2004: Kurt Lade Klub DJ-Battle Berlin / 3rd place.

2005: I.T.F. Hanover Heats / 3rd place.

Optms moved to Munich and came in touch with Jay Scarlett, DJ Explizit, Sepalot, Kuchen George, Deckpackers (Aspect, Snatchatec) & Highenders (Len Beam, Sixkay) which brought huge support on his live gigs, radio plays, etc.
