Shuta Hiraki, a Japanese electronic musician who was born in 1990 and lives in Nagasaki, Japan, has publicized his own works under the pseudonym obalto since 2014.Influenced by the trend toward more “drone-based” ambient music in the latter half of 00’s, he started to create ambient/drone music himself centering on various field recordings and its sounds processed by DAW around 2013.
In 2015, he presented his track to the compilation album UNNOISELESS NOISE COMPILATION 003 -NOISE BODIES- released by a Japanese noise record label UNNOISELESS.
In 2016, at the exhibition and sale event called M3-2016 Spring, he exhibited the album Liquefaction which marked the first album for the unit with an experimental ambient artist enso56.
Driven by fascination with drone-sound, he has continued to create works since he started his career.
