West german brass band founded on June 17, 1952 as Zollmusikcorps Berlin and is therefore the oldest music band in the area of the German customs administration. Founding members were mainly former military musicians who had joined the newly established customs administration after the war. First leader was Alfred Nöther until his death in spring 1978.
