Mark Bowden
British composer of classical music, born in South Wales in 1979. He studied composition at Huddersfield University and the Royal College of Music, where he won all of the major composition prizes. He came to public attention in 2006 when he was awarded the Royal Philharmonic Society Composition Prize for his first orchestral commission, Sudden Light.
