Môn-Heli are mother and daughter duo, Karen and Sioned. Karen originally formed Môn-Heli with her husband, Arthur, but after his death in 2006, Sioned took his place.
Husband and wife Karen and Arthur Owen from Anglesey, were a well established Country Duo who started performing in their local pub Ty Gwyn near Llanfair PG in 1997. After that they perform under their stage name Mon-heli and were in demand throughout the country. Karen has a fine country voice, and Arthur added to the act with his backing vocals and guitar skills.
The name Mon-heli derives from the fact that Karen is originally from Felinheli and Arthur was from Anglesey (Mon in Welsh), where they lived.
