Neo-Industrial Goth-Rock from Toronto, Ontario

The DI AUGER project is an Electronic, Industrial, Goth Rock hybrid musical endeavor, self-defined as NEO INDUSTRIAL GOTHIC ROCK. It is the brainchild of Artist/Musician Chris Lefort. It can be best described as a lyrically driven construct of industrial rhythms, fused with underlying classical melodies, churning guitar riffs, and theatrical Punk-like vocals. The result can be, at times, hypnotic, haunting, angry, and often full of dread.

Classically trained as a pianist and formerly trained on percussion Chris’ tastes were drawn to the darker musical motions of bands like “Black Sabbath” at a very early age. Influences expanded and evolved and many remain to this day. Major inspiration continues from artists and groups such as Wendy Carlos, Skinny Puppy, Current 93, Basil Poledouris, Slayer, The Sisters of Mercy, Nine Inch Nails, Prodigy, and Claudio Simonetti’s GOBLIN.
