Alex the Astronaut (born 3 March 1995) is an Australian folktronica/folk pop songstress influenced by Paul Kelly and Bob Dylan. A graduate of Pymble Ladies' College in Sydney, before studying maths and physics at Long Island University, New York. She was described as one of Australia's "most powerful and important songwriters" by Pile Rats' Heyden Davies and received an honourable mention in Rolling Stone Australia's Top 200 Australian Albums of All Time list.
