Born as Влади́мир Евге́ньевич Жаботи́нский (Vladimir Yevgenyevich Zhabotinsky) in Odessa, Ukraine, then part of the Russian Empire, on 17 October 1880. As he became more involved in Zionist politics he changed his name from the Russian Vladimir to the Hebrew Ze'ev ("Wolf") Jabotinsky circa 1903. Died on 3 August 1940 in Hunter, NY, United States of America.
