The original line up was Lloyd Fonoroff on Drums, Jim Matus on guitar, Micky Ortiz - Vocals, Dave Sewelson on baritone sax, George Bishop on tenor sax, Pablo Gebhardt on alto sax, Philip Johnston on soprano sax and Matt Kendrick on bass. Their first gig was a Tier 3 in Soho NYC. They opened for Luther Thomas and the Dazz Band.

Joseph Bowie is on a compilation called "Various - The Pulse Of New York" with Noise R Us. He and Charles Bobo Shaw were sitting in. It's a board tape made at Trax. The original Noise was something else.
