Short-lived Austin, Texas band comprised of Randy “Biscuit” Turner (The Big Boys (2)) on vocals, Duane Denison (Jesus Lizard / Tomahawk (6)) on guitar, James Bonney on drums and Don Davis on guitar. They released one album on Touch and Go, Strange Men Bearing Gifts in 1986, which was re-released on CD in 2003.
Cargo Cult broke up in early 1987 when Duane Denison left Austin. Prior to the breakup, Chris Massey had joined on drums.
