Members: John O'Neil

Johnson Unit formed in Eugene, Oregon (USA) in 1984 with John O'Neil on guitar, Steve Nordby on bass, the the two sharing vocals. Their original drummer, Dean Guernsey, played on their first cassette tape. He was replaced by Robert Christie late in 1984, who remained with the band until they split up at the end of 1986. O'Neil and Nordby also ran Eugene's Dunghill record and cassette label.
