Horace Washington
Kansas City, Missouri, jazz, funk & R&B reed player and bandleader. His group, Horace Washington and Company, played regularly in the KC area in addition to stints in New Mexico, Minneapolis and New York. He also led the Horace Washington Trio and the Horace Washington Review. He passed away at the age of 62 in 2014 just days after performing at the Blue Room.
