Jamie's first Production was at the age of 14 going on 15 years old under the name Dexxtrous, it all started at around 13 when his sister who worked at the same shop as Marc Mac of Reinforced Records, mentioned to him 'there’s a guy at work who’s into your rave music' he didn't really believe her until 3 months later when she brought him home a Reinforced Jacket. 'It was like getting the technicolour dream coat'

So through his sister he then met up with Marc Mac who invited him down to the studio where he met Dego, this lntroduction helped him get hold of a mixing desk that he bought from L Double who drove all the way down from Leeds with it in the car. 'So at 14/15 I was hanging out down Reinforced with my heroes, playing table tennis'

His first release Hysteria Part 1 featured the track 'The Choice' aka "6 Million Ways To Die" on Lemon D's Planet Earth Records, this got him noticed by Goldie who would sign 'Your Sound' for his Metalheadz label as J Majik.
