Yuji Takenouchi has been a creator of videogame music since 1990, and is one of the first producers to incorporate techno into videogame soundtracks. One of his first projects was the soundtrack for Space Manbow as part of the Konami Kukeiha Club. He made his debut in the club music scene in 1997, and his first single was released by GENERATIONS label on R&S records. After releasing work under aliases such as Mr. YT, Disposable, and Missing Project, he remained silent for nearly a decade.
