In the 60's he wrote for The Isley Brothers and worked with Isaac Hayes.
In the 70's he and his two brothers signed at Holland-Dozier-Holland's Invictus label.
He started producing Honey Cone, Jermaine Jackson, Ozone (5), G.C. Cameron, Syreeta.
In the 80's he started recording with the group Lovesmith before he went on to release three solo albums at Motown
He has also written for Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight and Bobby Brown.
