Harp-zither player and teacher (born October 29, 1870 in Austria – died April 22, 1925 in New York, NY, USA).After making her name in London, England, where she played before Queen Victoria, Kitty Berger emigrated to the United States in 1890; in 1895, she became a naturalized U.S. citizen. A year later she lost her husband, Dr. Paul Pancritius, to a fatal morphine overdose.
Between 1907 and 1920, Berger recorded 20 zither titles for Victor, Columbia and Edison.
