Real name: Katherine Berger

Harp-zither player and teacher (born October 29, 1870 in Austria – died April 22, 1925 in New York, NY, USA).

After making her name in London, England, where she played before Queen Victoria, Kitty Berger emigrated to the United States in 1890; in 1895, she became a naturalized U.S. citizen. A year later she lost her husband, Dr. Paul Pancritius, to a fatal morphine overdose.

Between 1907 and 1920, Berger recorded 20 zither titles for Victor, Columbia and Edison.
