Japanese classical violinist, born in 1983 in Tokyo.First Japanese to win first prize at the International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition in 1997.
First Japanese to win first prize at the 43rd Paganini Competition, where she was the youngest to win the prize, in October 1999. Also won first prize at the Viotti International Music Competition in June of that year.
