Real name: Kangsadan

Kangsadan takes its name from the shape of an ancient Thai bell made out of solid brass, which resembles a crescent moon. The group was formed in 1989 upon the premise that the very finest of masters from the old musical tradition and the young virtuosi of the moderen tradition should have an oppertunity to come together and collaborate in searching for a new extended vocabulary of Thai music.
