Creativity leads to innovation and that is what Precursor is striving for. Connecting elements from Electronica and Techno, Dutch producer and composer Quirijn Verhoog delivers music that leans on the verge of two sonic universes. With a musical background dating back over 20 years and working in laboratories and academia for many years, Verhoog has a unique take on music. His attention to detail is immaculate, treating synthesizers the same way as his lab equipment. Using modular synthesis and effect pedals he builds up complex, yet eclectic tracks.

In 2021 Precursor joined Arvet Records, a label by Swedish singer and producer Sailor & I starting off with the hit single Human. In 2022 the album GLIA followed, in which Verhoog explores the relationship between neuroscience and sound. The project comes to life in the award-winning videoclip of the single Opulent in which the viewer takes the perspective of an AI, interpreting beauty and nature. Mastered by Daniel Rejmer, known for his work on the Netflix hit series "Dark", the project sees many collaborations, including remixes by Vessels, Hunter/Game, VNTM, SQL and various artists from the Arvet label.

This year marks a new season for Arvet starting off with the single Reset by Precursor (NL) and Bad Spirit with a brand new visual identity. The track reflects upon our busy lives and the constant pressure to perform and achieve. It's still unclear whether Reset is the start of a potential third album.
