One of the original band members Ray Sands, a 1948 Wanamingo High School graduate, joined Art Fitch and the Polka Dots with his accordion, and he leads the band today.

Original members in the Polka Dots included Ray Sands, Manton Steberg, now 98, Bob and Harry Erickson, Nancy Rose, Art Fitch, Leo Johnson, Phillip Sorenson and Bertha Rosch.
