Yasufumi Kai. Japanese composer, arranger, and conductor. Born in Kyushu in 1939. After graduating from Meiji University, studied composition and arrangement with Masao Koga. Employed as an in-house composer with Nippon Columbia from 1965 where he wrote songs for many popular singers, as well as recording instrumental and karaoke LPs, music for advertisements, documentaries, and theatre plays.
