Romanian pianist. Mihai Ritivoiu was born in Bucharest, Romania and began piano lessons at the age of six. In 2012 he graduated with the highest honors from the National
University of Music, Bucharest in the piano class of Viniciu Moroianu, subsequently obtaining his Masters’ and Artist Diploma degrees with distinction from the Guildhall
School of Music & Drama, where he studied with Joan Havill. He also participated in master classes with Dmitri Bashkirov, Dominique Merlet, Richard Goode, and
Emanuel Ax, and benefited from the advice and guidance of Romanian pianist Valentin Gheorghiu.

Mihai Ritivoiu won the Dinu Lipatti National Competition in Bucharest in 2010 and was a laureate of the George Enescu International Piano Competition in 2011. Following
these achievements, he was invited to record Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto for the Romanian Broadcasting Corporation with the National Radio Orchestra of
Romania conducted by Gheorghe Costin. He has since appeared as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Romania, England, France,
Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Japan, performing in such venues as St Martin-in-the-Fields, Wigmore Hall, Barbican Centre,
and Steinway Hall in London, West Road Concert Hall in Cambridge, the Bechstein Centre in Frankfurt, the Ernest Ansermet Studio in Geneva and
the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest. He gave concerto performances with the Romanian Youth Orchestra, George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra in Bucharest
and the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra.

In 2015 Mihai Ritivoiu received the Gold Medal of the Beethoven Piano Society of Europe in London, and was invited on BBC Radio 3’s “In Tune”. His performances have
also been broadcast by Radio România Muzical, Radio Suisse Romande—Espace 2, and medici tv Mihai Ritivoiu has been a City Music Foundation Artist since 2016.
