Dusty Brooks
Real name: Lucius Holcey Brooks
American bass vocalist, bassist, and actorBrooks founded the Four Tones with three others while studying at Lane College, in Jackson, Tennessee. The group performed at the Texas Centennial International Exposition (1936-1937), which lead to a radio engagement, and eventually to Hollywood. There Brooks landed the role of "Dusty" in a series of Western movies, and the nickname stuck. He was also a member of Stanley Morgan (3)'s Ink Spots from the 1960s to the mid-1970s, and again in the 1980s after the death of bassist George Bledsoe.
