Dusty Brooks

Real name: Lucius Holcey Brooks

American bass vocalist, bassist, and actor

Brooks founded the Four Tones with three others while studying at Lane College, in Jackson, Tennessee. The group performed at the Texas Centennial International Exposition (1936-1937), which lead to a radio engagement, and eventually to Hollywood. There Brooks landed the role of "Dusty" in a series of Western movies, and the nickname stuck. He was also a member of Stanley Morgan (3)'s Ink Spots from the 1960s to the mid-1970s, and again in the 1980s after the death of bassist George Bledsoe.

Born: 8 September 1911 in Rentiesville, Oklahoma, USA
Died: 17 December 1999 in Missouri City, Texas, USA
