Irvin Graham

Real name: Irvin Robert Graham

Award-winning songwriter ("I Believe", "You Better Go Now"), composer, actor, author, writer and singer. (18 September, 1909, Philadelphia, PA - 1 December, 2001, New York City)

He was a singer and scriptwriter for WCAU and WIP in Philadelphia. Graham wrote the Broadway stage scores for "Crazy With The Heat" and "All About Love", as well as the CBS musical version of "Taming of the Shrew." He also wrote material for Jane Froman, Patrice Munsel, Imogene Coca, Marguerite Piazza, Constance Bennett, Mimi Benzell, and Eddie Albert. Graham joined ASCAP in 1952, and some of his other popular-song compositions include "Maybe I Love Him", "I'm In Love With a Married Man", and "Twist of the Wrist."
